Berkeley Heights, NJ, July 19, 2021 —Timothy Reish, MD, an Orthopedic Surgeon, has joined Summit Health’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. Dr. Reish remains affiliated with St. Francis Hospital, NYU Langone, Northwell Surgical Center, and Midtown Surgical Center.

The addition of Dr. Reish’s 260 East 66th office marks the second Summit Health Orthopedics practice in New York. Summit Health first introduced its Orthopedics offering in Manhattan with a new office located at 275 Madison Avenue.

Dr. Reish specializes in treating sports-related and degenerative disorders of the shoulder, elbow, and knee, with a specific interest in shoulder replacement surgery. He also brings expertise in total knee replacement and knee arthroscopy.

Dr. Reish earned his Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and his Medical Doctorate with high honors from Temple University in Philadelphia. He completed his Orthopedic residency at Ohio State University where he worked extensively in the sports division.

Dr. Reish also completed a fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in Sports Medicine and Knee/Shoulder reconstruction where he trained with the team physicians for the New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, and New York Yankees. He continued his career with the ISK Institute for the next 16 years, treating patients for disorders of the shoulder, elbow, and knee.

Dr. Reish has published on multiple areas orthopedic research, including participating in complex research projects, including developing critical pain protocols for outpatient shoulder replacement and another focusing on rotator cuff-sparing, shoulder arthroplasty techniques. He also lectures extensively on research and techniques related to shoulder replacement surgery.
