Dr. Ashish Behari graduated from the combined 6 year accelerated medical program between Penn State University and Jefferson Medical College. He then went to Washington DC where he completed his urology residency and a Urologic Oncology Fellowship from the National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health. Dr. Behari is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the Society of Urologic Oncology. While At the National Cancer Institute he developed an expertise in minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer, as well as rare adrenal tumors. Dr. Behari has expertise in minimally invasive treatments for kidney stones and BPH as well.
He then went into practice in Washington DC where he instructed urologists in training at Georgetown University Hospital residency program and was awarded teacher of the year in 2008. He was Vice Chairman of Urology at the largest hospital in Washington DC, The Washington Hospital Center. He has joined Urology Care Alliance- Bucks County as the only Urologic Oncologist in Bucks County. Dr Behari has performed over 500 Robotic and laparoscopic surgeries for prostate, kidney, adrenal, and bladder cancer.
Dr. Behari feels it is important to educate patients and partner with them in making decisions about their treatments.
